According to the Royal Town Planning Institute:
“Consultants can also offer expert insight on how best to approach a project to achieve the desired outcome. Their input can help you refine your plans to ensure you are pursuing the most suitable options for your development.
Employing a consultant will not guarantee you approval, but it will significantly increase your application’s chance of success.”
I will provide you with independent and professional advice on development proposals at any stage of the planning process.
I thought long and hard before starting up my own planning service. The statutory planning function is carried out by Government professionals whose advice is freely available to those who seek it (“pre-application advice”). I also understand that sometimes there can be differences of opinion or interpretation of policy between applicants, the Department, other statutory consultees and objectors and here, I believe, there is sometimes the need for further advice and representation, perhaps where an applicant or objector wishes to be represented before a decision is taken – either to help put a development proposal together or to be heard by the Planning Committee, or if a decision has been taken which is not the desired outcome, to be represented at appeal.
Having worked in all aspects of the planning service for some time, I believe I have relevant and valuable knowledge and experience which can help anyone seeking help through the process. I understand how important planning can be and sometimes how difficult – as an applicant or an objector and that in many cases, that the outcome can significantly change your quality of life.
